Kveld-Ulf finished for the Invitational!

I am happy to say, that I managed to finish my 13th Wulfen Lord Kveld-Ulf, called Modi, (almost) in time for the Invitational deadline. A few weeks ago it was posted with a nice introduction by Migsula on the amazingly inspiring Iron Sleet:

I like what you have done to the Daemon Prince, this makes for a really massive Wulfen! It is also a nice tough to keep the original-sized weapons, while they might seem to be a bit off in comparison to the rest of the model, they go to remind you how massive the body has grown, and where it came from.

Also love the classic Chaos hound melta-familiar.

Awsome models. The combination of one big and two smaller minis really make the big guy huge! I am so glad you are back in the hobby! Great work in such a relatively small amount of time.

Presently

First Point of Aries is inspired by the title of an Echospace track. A hauntingly beautiful one of a kind.

But also by the day I came into this world - many, many moons ago. The first spring day that year. The Vernal Equinox. When day and night on the Northern hemisphere were equally long. My first day was as long as my first night. Darkness and light.

Coincidentally this too was and still is the first day of Aries. Which somehow makes FPOA by Echospace a very good starting point for this blog and my personal endeavours into the imaginary worlds of Games Workshop.

Worlds that are weathered, beaten, ambient, dystopian and full of darkness and light. Worlds that are aesthetic in the more original sense of the word - as in sensuous.

As such I am immensely inspired by those creative minds and fellow puppeteers who are able to bring aesthetics understood not as beauty of form but rather sensuous quaility into their work. Huge inspirations being aesthete extraordinaires John Blanche, Mikael Silvanto (Migsula) and Jakob Rune Nielsen.
